Title: Just to clarify...

I get confused when I read that Viki finally told Clint that she cares about him and he didn't believe her. Can someone tell me WHEN it was that Viki told Clint her feelings for him? I am being honest--all kidding aside. I think I missed it.

Cheryl!

That big "whoopdeedoo" at the restaurant and again at the hospital were allegedly Viki's "declarations" of intent towards Clint. She never said "I love you. I want you, I want us." Just I want to see you exclusively and I definately DON'T want you to see HER. That's probably why you are confused. ;)

See that's my pow1.gif !

green.jpg "Okay so maybe possibly if we date each other EXCLUSIVELY --you know I GET MY WAY and you dump Dorian--then maybe, possibly if the moon is in the 7th house and Jupiter aligns with Mars. I might, if you kiss my rear, throw you a crumb of affection or respect or acknowledge your worth to me as a man."

Basically that's what she was offering him. As opposed to dorian4.jpg 's "I'm not going to give up on us. I think we can be really good together." And the many other things she's said and done to show him she cares.

Sad isn't it? A crumb offered by a judgemental ex who has rejected and forsaken him for over a decade as opposed to the banquet thrown in his honor by a woman who is "totally out of character". Gosh IRL which offer would a man with a pulse choose?

I think it was her going to the Palace. When she interrupted Clint and Dorian’s date to tell him she wanted to date him exclusively. He didn’t believe her because she did it publicly. He thought if she really had feelings for him she would have said something to him when they were alone – like before he went out on the date with Dorian. Viki had an opportunity to tell him then that she didn’t want him dating Dorian or anyone else and she wouldn’t do it. IMO, doing it publicly was a sign that Viki was serious, but Clint didn’t take it that way. But, truth is, Viki never really knew what she wanted from/with Clint – she just knew she doesn’t want him with Dorian.

I'm curious to hear what Viki says to Clint when she tells him their relationship is forever changed because he's with Dorian. Of course, it was forever changed when she slept with Sloan and married Ben, but this Dorian thing is a whole new ballgame.

Hey Val, we were posting at the same time. Yours was funnier.

What they said. :) It was Viki's public declaration in the middle of his date with Dorian. The closest we got to really understanding what Viki was thinking was her talk with Nora, but even then the dialogue went in circles. The only things Viki was very clear on was that she did not want Clint with Dorian and she wasn't sure what she felt for Clint. She was quick to disagree that it was romantic love (at least not yet) when Nora suggested it.

I think she's jealous of Clint's interest in Dorian because she wants a man interested in her that way, but I don't think it necessarily has to be Clint. Being with Clint is a comfortable, familiar routine that she could slip into even if the feelings weren't there yet. And vice versa for Clint, but he realized he needed more than that now. Clint told Viki that he felt unwanted by her and she didn't listen.

Thank you for your responses. I was thinking that I somehow missed it because it was like Viki had used specific language of affection toward Clint. I remember being taken aback when she told Nora that she was still unsure if she felt "that way" toward him (She can't even say anything sweet or romantic about him to Nora.) So what we are all concluding and what Clint is left to conclude is that Viki's action in showing up at the Palace and later at the hospital to say, "I don't want you with her" and "I want to date you exclusively," are remarks of affection directed toward Clint. There has been nothing else.
