Title: Today's Show 4/11
LovesTheDrama - April 11, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
I really enjoyed the show. It was great to see RJ and Dorian in scenes together--just the two of them. I loved that Dorian and RJ had discussed (off screen unfortunately) what he was going to say to Antonio and Jessica. LOL when RJ said that Jessica had her own hoochy bar hopping alter. Seems to me that Viki did a little revisionist work on how things went down with Clint. He did not make the same offer of adventure to Dorian; Viki just took too long letting him know that she was interested (all the while rolling her eyes at most things he said and did) and Dorian was always letting him know that she wanted to be with him.
Meags - April 11, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
Damn, are you telling me that the one day we get, Dorian, Clint and RJ I forgot to tape it!!! Now I wanna cry. :( ;)
TansMom - April 12, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
IT was GREAT! Meags so sorry you missed it. Can you catch Soapnet?
Let me see. RJ! And how many times have we talked about conflict and the writers preferring a couple with conflict and how much storyline potential there is.
RJ is worried about Dorian getting hurt and brings up the Bukes and their nasty attitudes towards Dorian and how they'll treat her.
Let's see. Natalie being a jerk to her father. Fine she's usually up John's butt anyhow. Then Viki and Natalie clucking that Clint will get hurt.
Then Viki's REVISIONIST history where she didn't make the first move BEGGING him to kiss her on Christmas because well nobody else was willing to do the deed. :P Where she didn't make him do all the work and stand there rolling her eyes. Wow he couldn't have been more nonplussed. He was like....Okay sorry you're hurt can we be civil? Viki Mother of the year will be civil. I think that theory has been disproven already! She was already bitchy to Dorian at the hearing. Dorian did indeed TRY and Clint witnessed it! YET again!
Then Victoria Carpenter...oh why does she have that last name? Oh yeah because she cheated on her husband and almost a YEAR later they divorced after he begged and begged to reconcile and then for years afterward. Yeah. So now they date twice and they can't be friends? Okay I agree with Clint---WHATEVER! I totally LOVED him NOT backing down. I LOVED him not being all regretful he was sorry she was hurt but he was NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT all about Viki or "oh wow I blew it". He's standing strong in his convictions about Dorian. Viki stood there again whining and he was UNMOVED. He's all about Dorian!!!!!
Triangle is obviously DEAD. Clint couldn't have been more obvious. Sorry you're hurt I never meant to hurt you...but whatever. "Whatever you want Viki." He needed to say....as ALWAYS Viki it's all about you who cares what we all want!!!!! He's with Dorian now.
dorian4.jpg She's was so happy today. I adored RJ calling her on it.
But I seriously hearts1.gif Clint walking in and lighting up when Dorian was there! Then smiling away and listening to her prattle on about Jamie. Then holding hands as they went over to sit down. LOVED IT! The two of them so wanting to just be together and the outside forces tearing at them. I believe it's called a STORY.
And of course DORIAN will get no credit for helping to bring RJ over to the "light" about Jamie having a Mother. But what's new? Dorian worked her magic!

I wondered why you didn't post right after the show, Meags. I didn't post right away, because I've been thinking about it (plus trying to work and take care of a sick family member).
Rant ahead: Viki's a hypocrite - she can dish it out but can't take it. How dare Clint presume to tell her how she feels, but she has it all figured out how he apparently led her on. Viki had 10-15 years + 3 months to figure out if she was interested enough in Clint to pursue a romance with him. She now admits that it took her a while, but she "eventually" got excited about his offer of adventure, yet poor her, he was just toying with her feelings. Whatever. It's really hard for me to muster sympathy for her, when Clint was upfront and honest that he needed to be with someone who was as interested in him as he was in them. He needed to feel wanted. Why is that wrong? He deserves that consideration like anyone else. Where is it written in stone that he has to let Viki control the time-table?
Viki isn't willing to make Clint top priority in her life - that's a neon-flashing sign saying she's not really interested, but it would be nice to have him around. If Viki really, truly wanted Clint back, had a desire for him that he would have for her, she would be sure of her feelings, make them obvious to him, and it wouldn't take 3 months to "eventually" decide an adventure with him would be exciting. A relationship takes 2 people - not 1 very-important person and her prop. Clint deserves more than to be squeezed somewhere in-between the kids, grandkids, newspaper, hospital committees, and charity work. It's actually selfish of her to expect Clint to accept that. And, if he's not top priority, why is she so hurt he didn't choose her? That's why he thinks this is all about Dorian for her - and instead of trying to work it out with him, she gets snarky and defensive. She doesn't care that he feels unwanted by her, it has to be all about her.
It's Viki's loss if she doesn't want to be friends with him anymore. Great attitude to show the kids. I do hope Clint and Natalie get more scenes together. I'd like to see them talk this out.
Okay enough ranting. :D I enjoyed RJ and Dorian's scenes. It's great she has someone in her corner, who can worry about what she's getting herself into. I'd like to see Clint & Bo have the same types of scenes. I love when RJ asked if she was really serious about being with Clint and she said she was very happy and it was unexpected and exciting.
C/D were cute holding hands as she led him to their seats. You didn't see it from the camera angle, but I think Viki walked in just as they were crossing the aisle linked by their hands. And, the smile on Clint's face as the judge started the proceedings - he's obviously very proud of Jessica and her erratic behavior will hit him hard.
I feel bad for Jamie, but I also feel that Antonio was pushing the adoption issue. They pole-vaulted to finalizing the adoption just a week or so after Jamie called Jessica Mommy for the first time. It's not even a year since she's been integrated, and she's already given birth to a baby and gotten married. Adoption could have waited at least several more months until things were more settled.
ETA: Posting at the same time as Val. :)

No I can't I don't get Soapnet. sadly, I wish I did, you know I should really look into that, I'm not even sure if I can get it in this area. God it was only a few years ago that they even brought internet out here! And it's not even like I'm that far away from eveything either.

Haha yeah I'm usually on top of things, but I was out today. Hope your famiy member feel better.
Can't believe it, the ONE day I don't tape it . :( :(
Oh well, there will be plenty more to come hopefully! dncll.jpg *sniff, sniff.*
TansMom - April 12, 2007 01:24 AM (GMT)
There will be Meags!
Sorry for the family illness too Emily. Hope all is well soon.
Okay I forgot how much I loved that scene of the assembled at the adoption proceedings. They go from Jess/Antonio to Carlotta behind them and close in on Clint and Dorian looking so cute together and he's so PROUD of his yellow rose.
Here's my rant aside for Viki the biggest two face in town....I can cheat and we can be friends, I can reject you ad nauseum for like YEARS and we can be friends. But we date twice and you prefer Dorian. We cannot be friends. That's it poor me it's all about me how dare you? And he did NOT back down or worry and he was sorry she was hurt but that was it. LOVED it!
And next time they are at the Buch Mansion that purple.jpg better use the front door and ASK to be announced! She's got some nerve the way she ordered Dorian around over there!
Jessica hearts1.gif her Jamie. She called her MY baby. She grieved when she married Tico because she missed her so. She signed and sobbed to her when she came back from Tess and committed herself to keep Jamie safe from Tess. wtfmore.gif now it's all about ANTONIO? WHA? They didn't have Bree at the wedding they had JAMIE!!!!!
Jessica can be a wonderful Mother to Jamie.
This will really knock her father for a loop. :(
LovesTheDrama - April 12, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
My favorite bitch moment with Viki was when she told Natalie that as soon as Dorian got bored with Clint it would be over. Viki doesn't know Dorian as well as she thinks.
Clint was excellent during Viki's rant - ITA Val, he felt bad for her but he didn't back down.
Dorian and Clint were so cute in the courtroom - so happy to see each other, holding hands, sitting so close. So funny when Viki dismissed Dorian's congratulations and Dorian just looked at Clnt and shrugged.
ees43 - April 12, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
My family just has what the doctor called the creeping crud.

That's what a lot of viewers think - of course they don't believe that Dorian has real feelings for Clint, and it all was just a plot to stick it to Viki. Proof that Viki really wants Dorian for herself ;) how dare Clint think any of this had anything to do with him.
Okay, the writers made RJ say it in his dialogue, so I hope they follow through - I want to see Clint & Dorian at family gatherings. :D
TansMom - April 12, 2007 03:38 AM (GMT)
ITA Ginny!
Yeah Viki doesn't want Clint thinking he knows her but she claims to KNOW Dorian eh? Dorian has been sincere the whole time. Unlike the ex ball and chain.
But Clint not backing down or even looking remorseful was Kick Ass. He's said he was sorry. He didn't mean to hurt her and tried to keep their friendship going. "WHATEVER" one of my favorite Clint quotes now! "Whatever you want Viki" and walks out the door! hearts1.gif LOVE IT! snoop.gif I mean really it was the theme of their relationship till now! Wahoo!
green.jpg slams the door just in time for the Bukes to get stronger with Sarah coming and Natalie joining the family business. Who's left out now? It won't be Clint. :P Go writers! So much for the whole town will turn against Clint and he'll be so sorry and he'll have nobody to talk to because Viki was his bestest friend. NO Clint was Viki's best friend. She lied and lost faith in him over and over. Bo or Herb or Asa or Cord were Clint's best friends. Of course now it's the curvy redhead! Oh wait Clint can be her friend and forgive her for kicking him to the curb and cheating on him like 100 times as Sloan's luvah before they finally divorced totally humiliating him. But He DARES to pick Dorian and they can't be friends anymore?! wtfmore.gif NO. SYMPATHY. FOR. VIKI.
That courtroom moment spoke a lot. All the set up of everyone being against them and kissss.gif just plain wanting to be together. Love that RS/JvD chemistry. They just light up when they see each other. Well how dare they? It's a story alright! Love it. And Viki continues being nasty and bitter and trying to turn the girls against him and snarking at Dorian. I FLOVE it!
TansMom - April 12, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
My boys get that and we're all doomed. Hope you're crud free soon!
I'm so with you. Please I can't wait for Dorian and the Buchanan's a plenty. Sounds like it's a comin!
Viki is so in love with Dorian it's pathetic. Clint better hold on tight yet again it's all about Dorian. She can't stop talking about Dorian!!!! It's LUV!
ees43 - April 12, 2007 04:03 AM (GMT)
Well, we don't even know if it's the same crud. A few weeks ago, some of us (including me) got sick, but we got over it and we've all been out and about, and now the rest of us are sick, but it could be something different. But ITA I hope it all goes away real soon. :)
The saddest thing to me in this whole story is that Viki never really gave Clint much thought. I just can't fathom the idea of wanting a couple that's all about one partner and the other doesn't matter. What people expect Clint to just take makes him worthy of sainthood. Even if it wasn't with Dorian, Clint needed to step out from Viki's shadow, or there wouldn't be much point to his character.
I want some C/D alone time, but it looks like all their upcoming scenes have Viki tagging along - since they're dealing with Jessica's problems. I can deal with the off-screen hinted-at intimacy, but can we at least see them n2.gif every now and then?
TansMom - April 12, 2007 04:57 AM (GMT)
Hey Em, the actors have to be crud free first! wink.gif
But I'm sure we'll get some kissss.gif and it will always be interrupted by the Ickster rolling her eyes and snorting loudly to announce herself. Well you know the drill.....
I mean it's important that they have more "wonderful afternoons" and Clint "makes Dorian's day". Sigh! hearts1.gif

Meags, a video clip of this episode can be found in the Gallery or go here:
"Whatever!"First of all, I was thrilled beyond words at the sight of RJ and Dorian together. I wanted Dorian to have the opportunity to discuss her feelings for Clint with someone who would listen and react in a caring manner toward her. RJ was rightfully concerned that his friend might get hurt, knowing full well how close Clint is with his family and their opinion of Dorian. Dorian is clearly falling in love if she isn't in love already. The smiles, the dreamy looks, the lilt--are all telltale signs and RJ wanted to be "real" with her so that she had some awareness of the pitfalls of the relationship. I don't think Dorian wants to give that much thought. She wants to just "be" with Clint and show her support of him. Though it wasn't shown on camera, she was supportive of RJ too. She helped him to see that Kerrie would want Jamie to have a mother. It was good stuff. Oh, I forgot one other thing. Dorian mentioned that there has always been undeniable chemistry between Dorian and Clint despite their dicey relationship. I agree. I noticed even with CR in the role.
Oh and how did I love the scenes with Viki, let me count the ways! First of all the retort from Clint: "Whatever! Whatever you want, Viki!" was just the bomb! She refused to hear him out; she is only satisfied in giving her opinions. He might as well have said, "Yes, Your Highness! Whatever you say, Queen Victoria!" constr8.gif Now I ask you, doesn't that kind of attitude just make you feel all warm and fuzzy about the unexpressed feelings Viki supposedly has for Clint? She didn't come off as being hurt. She came off as being a bitch. I can't help but think back to how Clint reacted to her affair and put aside his feelings about her starting up with Sloan for the sake of his family. Viki further distanced herself from Clint with her manner and words. And actually, I'm quite pleased. He has put her on a pedestal for so many years and I have detested her treatment of him. Time for him to stop reaching out to someone who keeps moving away.
And Dorian and Clint were SO. HAPPY. just to see each other at the courthouse. Sigh. We will likely get more scenes today.
LovesTheDrama - April 12, 2007 04:24 PM (GMT)
The Viki/Clint scenes were great because I think Clint got some closure. Viki has made it clear that she doesn't want to be his friend and now Clint can stop spending so much time worrying about her feelings. I did think it was odd that Clint wanted to drive with Viki to the courthouse. Many divorced couples, with or without children, don't even speak to each other, let alone get in the same car. But it was probably Clint's way of finding out if Viki was going to be civil to him or not. Well the answer is "not" so feel free to move on Clint. You have the queen's blessing.
TansMom - April 12, 2007 05:47 PM (GMT)
Well it's not odd for them. They've been like that since day 1
You know Clint can forgive and be her friend and run her paper and her house and take her back and forth for therapy and come running when she needs him and contain her alters. Even after SHE'S chosen 2 men over him.
But he picks Dorian and they can't be friends anymore. That Viki she's got such class and dignity. What a wonderful woman. NOT!
WHATEVER! Go Clint GO!
