Title: What Smackdown?
Description: Thursday 26 Apr 2007

The SON spoiler read "Nora bluntly tells Clint that she thinks he should have chosen Viki instead of Dorian." Unless Clint and Nora are on again tomorrow (which I mostly doubt), this spoiler should have happened today.
So did they edit it out or re-write ;) the scene?
Actually Nora teasing Clint about being jealous of sharing his time with "Ma and Pa" with her in the house was cute. I do like HBS & JvD's chemistry.
Natalie's still snippy with Clint, but I'd like to see more of them together, getting to know and understand each other.
And, interesting that today's show picked up with Clint coming home from the hospital to his family, reporting on Jamie's good diagnosis.

Maybe that's because the "bitter old women who dump all over the men who loved them" club isn't all that much fun after all? Their "we're superior to you human beings who think happiness and love are important." -snort- Attitude is not flattering.
Nora has always been more open minded about people's needs and human frailties. It would suck if she took up Viki's torch as maven of bad advice and bitchy attitude. That's why it was rewritten. Nora encouraged Clint originally and her learning from them in a positive manner will make Nora/Bo/Lindsey much more poignant than snarking her way through life like Viki does.
And Natalie being snippy? Gooood that's called conflict, it makes everything more interesting. Just like when clint01.jpg laid out their relationship way back when. "Viki says that our family loyalites will eventually tear us apart."
"There's nothing I like better than proving purple.jpg wrong!" dorian77.jpg

I don't mind Natalie being snippy - it's a natural reaction, especially in her condition. She didn't grow up seeing her parents together like Jessica did. Natalie has her biological family now, but many times the Balsoms seem more united than C/V's group. Plus, she's coming off a bad break-up with John. Clint understands where she's coming from, likes her fire, and allows her to have her own opinion. I do believe she won't stay mad at him forever. :)
Yes, last year Nora encouraged Clint to go after what made him happy because life is too short to be miserable. It's a mature adult thing to accept a loved one's (or friend's) decision and be happy for them, even if you don't agree. I actually would like to see more of Clint and Nora. They seem like they could be good friends for each other, and Clint would be a good "outsider" to use for the N/B/L triangle, because of his connections to all 3 involved and obvious comparisons to the D/C/V triangle.

I keep thinking the same exact thing. I can see Dorian and Lindsey mending fences and I can see Clint telling Nora flat out "like it is" and then Nora really searching is it Bo she wants and is she willing to work for it?
And of course Bo and Clint will be mandatory and so much fun. See I can even look forward to somebody else's romance with Clint and Dorian mixed up in the fun! :P A mandatory Dorian actually trying to give "poor Nora" advice scene would be a riot also!

 ITA it could be great fun! Would Dorian be totally on Lindsay's side? Or would she be torn between Lindsay and Nora? I understand that Dorian and Nora were on friendly terms? Or more angst for C/D if Clint thinks Nora's better for Bo and Dorian thinks Lindsay? ;)

I thought the smackdown was happening today too. The set up was perfect; Clint and Nora were at the mansion--Nora had just come from her evening with Viki--Nora knew that Clint was with Dorian. I don't know why they would rewrite it, or cut the scene. Maybe we'll get it tomorrow.
I agree that Nora and Clint are great together. I hope that Clint and Dorian get involved in the N/B/L triangle. When is that supposed to happen? And when is Paige leaving? They set us up for her to leave and then she stayed.
Natalie told Clint she was pissed at him for hurting mom. She did not say she's pissed at him for choosing Dorian. She can still want him to be happy with Dorian and not like what happened between her parents.

Good point Ginny. Natalie isn't going to begrudge her father being happy. She loves him. I think she said as much a while back when she learned that he was dating Dorian. Same goes for Nora as has been mentioned. Viki chose to share the details of what happened between her and Clint with Natalie, which is something we know Clint considers a private matter. Clint didn't seem bothered by her attitude and he understands that she is a Buchanan by blood and blunt about her feelings. I suspect we are going to get more Buchanan scenes. With Phil Carey off the show, something has to happen to explain it and with Natalie going to the company, I see some story shifting that way.

I would love to see BE workplace scenes. I would also like to see Dorian and Clint hanging out with other people who enjoy their company, as well as lots of alone time for them. It was actually good to see Nora and Viki and Marty together yesterday - enjoying each other's company, making jokes, feeling sorry for themselves. The show needs to mix it up more.

You know me... I'm kind of hoping that Nash ends up working at BE. He's jobless, right? I'd like to see him and Natalie battle it out.
LovesTheDrama - April 27, 2007 12:11 PM (GMT)
I think he should focus on the winery. He and Natalie can get into it someplace else. Here's a conflict idea: Natalie, without Clint's knowledge, can buyout Craze for BE.

Hmm, OK. How 'bout Nash at Craze? He can't work at the winery anymore because Antonio owns it and well, we know that is going to be pulled from him unless he gets different backers.
LovesTheDrama - April 27, 2007 03:49 PM (GMT)
I forgot about Antonio being Nash's backer for the winery. OK, so I guess Antonio won't be mister nice guy and let him keep it. I have a hard time seeing Nash at Craza, but I am starting to picture him at BE.
I bought a Soap Opera Weekly last night--first time I've read a soap mag sitting down in a long time. Trevor St. John is going to be gone all of May and a different actor soon be appearing as Antonio while Kamar recovers from shoulder surgery. Plus Evangeline will soon be in a coma. It will be interesting to see how the fill-in guy works with BreeW/Jessica and what other characters will get more attention with Todd and Vang not working.
