"All for Love"This past week of shows did not feature Clint at all but Dorian was in episodes with her daughter and niece. Jessica was hospitalized after she collapsed. Clint, who is away on a business trip, is on his way home. Meanwhile, Dorian rushed to Chicago to convince a frantic Blair in search of a missing Todd to return to Llanview with her. With Adriana, Dorian gave advice on love. And what makes Dorian an expert on love besides previous relationships?
Dorian: It’s Clint. I -- I don’t need to pretend with him.
Adriana: Are you in love with him?
Dorian: I'm not ready to have that discussion yet.
Adriana: Because you're not sure of his feelings for you?
Dorian: Oh, I know his feelings for me -- it’s Viki. Yeah, Viki keeps trying to get between us, break us up, but when two people are meant to be together, nothing can stop them!So far, that actually seems to be the way of Clint and Dorian. It is why I remain a fan. Thus far, the writing seems to be in the direction of a long-term pairing and the
actors convince me that there is no stopping the union of the characters. Speaking of which, it is Robin’s delivery as Dorian that convinces me she is steadily falling for Clint. As her portrayer, Robin projects confidence in Dorian's feelings for Clint overcoming the odds; it has been that way for months. It continues.
May 7th is Robin Strasser’s birthday. I made a music video to celebrate the occasion and to give a nod to the fans, who have been particularly supportive.
"All For Love" is a hit song performed by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting. It was written for the soundtrack of the 1993 film "The Three Musketeers" by Adams, Mutt Lange and Michael Kamen. The title was inspired by the Musketeers' motto: "All for one, and one for all".I continue to support Dorian and Clint and the actors who portray them. That’s what this board is all about.
The lyrics to this song speak of unwavering faith and belief. At times as a fan, it’s difficult to continue supporting the show when your favorites are not featured or sometimes when the writing does not support the talent, such as that of Emmy award-winners like Robin Strasser and Jerry verDorn. But then for me, I’ll see a performance that will inspire me or hear a song that will speak to me. I am typically hopeful toward the future--at times, I falter. This particular song seemed a strong selection as it relates to the couple that has endured against all odds and also to the actors who continue to inspire my support and willingness to watch the show to catch fleeting glimpse of their performance.
I salute them both. I send special birthday wishes to Robin Strasser.
Happy Birthday on May 7th to Robin Strasser
