Title: Semi-Live Thread, 6.15.07

Scene 1

High School. Cole/Starr-talking about prom stuff.

Statesville-John/David. John/David outside door of the warden. David says he wants to stay in jail.

LaBoulaie. Blair/Dorian. Blair hangs up and Dorian enters the foyer. Blair is upset because Starr doesn’t have a dress. Dorian is upset at the last minute invite but suggests they search through the Cramer closets. Blair bemoans that Todd isn’t there on the biggest night of Starr’s life.

High School. Markko/Langston…. Hurling insults about the prom… Langston doesn’t have a date… he’s going with Starr….

High School. Cole/Starr— Cole says that he is only going with Brittany because Starr won’t go with him.

Scene 2

High School. Cole says he didn’t want to break up and that’s why he is going with Brittany. She says she broke up with him because of Todd. He says Todd is gone.

Whereabouts unknown. Sarah finds Todd, tries to call 911 before her boyfriend comes in and stops her. She asks if he stabbed him.

Statesville. John tells David that he has a plan in releasing him. Then goes into the warden’s office.

High School. More arguing with Cole and Starr. Starr says that Todd is gone but their mothers still hate each other. Brittany interrupts. Marcy comes in to say they have to rehearse a number. They are on stage. Langston hums; Star begins to sing “Sometimes this life seems too much….. Brittany sings a verse and they all sing “Together we can take on the world.” They leave the stage and start dancing. Marcie sings and they continue with the number and much of what was on at the end of the program last Friday.

Scene 3
High School. They are preparing to leave so that they can get ready for the prom. Langston is looking all sad at Starr writing her address on Markko’s hand.

Statesville. John tells the warden that David is innocent. Warden is amazed that David would lie to get into prison. The warden is worried about letting a killer walk. David is trying to eavesdrop at the door. John says that if the press finds out that he is holding an innocent man then he won’t like it. The warden says he needs to have more to go on and he asks him who he is trying to protect.

LaBoulaie…. Blair and Dorian are sitting on the stairs. Blair says that Todd called a few days ago but there was no caller ID. Dorian says to drop all this talk about Todd and focus on Starr and the fact that she is going to the prom. Dorian gets her to head upstairs with her.

High School. Brittany and Cole leave together and Starr looks upset. The lights are off. Marcie asks Starr if she’s leaving. Marcie says it would be nice if life was like a musical and things worked out the way they were supposed too. Starr is alone and sitting on stage. She sings about being shut out and treated like a stranger by someone she loves.

Scene 4
LaBoulaie. Blair and Dorian have dresses laid out on the sofas. They are having difficulty finding something fashionable for a teenager. Starr comes in. Glad they got her message. Dorian wants to know if the young man invited her just tonight. Blair scorns Dorian for being so abrupt. Dorian says that she just wants Starr to have a good time. Starr is worried that she doesn’t have anything to wear and Markko is picking her up in two hours. Dorian asks if that is his name. “How original.” Starr says that it’s Markko with two Ks like Starr is with two Rs. Dorian leaves to run an errand. Blair says that Starr will find a great dress. Starr looks around the room and says, “Cramers don’t ever throw anything out.” Starr says that Markko is a guy who doesn’t have a date who asked out a girl who doesn’t have a date.

Brittany and Cole are outside of her house. She wants to know what he was saying to Starr. He says nothing. She leaves to go inside the house. He doesn’t look particularly excited.

Statesville. John/Warden. John says that he can’t say but he’s out to find the real killer. John comes out of the warden’s office and tells David, “Sorry it looks like you’re free.”

Whereabouts unknown. Sarah asks her boyfriend “Hunter” what he did. She goes to the bed and rolls Todd over and sees that it’s him.(Guess she hadn’t seen his face before then) “Oh my God, it’s Todd Manning!”

Scene 5
Statesville. Tracking device is placed on David.

Miles/Cole/Marty. Miles has a top of the line tuxedo. Miles says that he got it to make him feel special. Cole says that it’s going to take a lot more than a tux to make him feel special.

LaBoulaie—Starr is depressed and Blair is trying to cheer her up. Starr says that she wishes her dad was there, says that he would grill Markko. Starr says that she is growing up. Blair sings. They show framed pictures in the living room of Starr through the years as she has grown up.

Scene 6

Statesville. Warden/John/David. David is upset that he lost months of his life for nothing and he isn’t going to get money from his “benefactor.” John says that thanks to the transmitter he has to follow him every second. John says, “Warden, I owe you one.” Warden: “That’s an understatement.”

Miles/Marty/Cole. Miles still wants Cole to take the tux. Marty gets a call. She leaves the room. Finds out it’s John. John tells her that he got David a conditional release.

LaBoulaie. Blair is styling Starr’s hair in front of the mirror in the bedroom. Starr is fretting because she still doesn’t have a dress. Dorian comes in with a dress. “Never fear! Aunt Dorian is here!” She says, “It’s hip, chic, gorgeous!” It is a peach-colored dress. The dress is one of a kind. Starr leaves to get dressed. Blair thanks Dorian because she was afraid that she would have to start sewing a dress. Dorian says that at least she got a smile out of Starr. Dorian says that she wishes she could put a smile on Blair’s face. Blair says that she is worried about Todd.

Whereabouts unknown. Sarah believes that Hunter stabbed him. Hunter says that or maybe he found him in a pool of blood. He says that she should worry about being located. Sarah says that she never stabbed anybody. They are apparently hiding out.

Scene 7
Starr models for Dorian and Blair. Dorian leaves to get a camera. Blair gives her a necklace. It’s a necklace that Todd gave Blair for Mother’s Day. Blair says that she wishes Todd was there because he would be proud.

Marty/Cole. Marty gives Cole a watch or some locket that she had once given his father.

Starr in her bedroom. She is looking forlorn and sings. Cole is getting dressed. He sings. They do a split screen. Brittany is shown and Langston and Markko. They are each contemplating the prom and singing. Soon it dissolves to them being on stage and singing.

I can see the affects of someone tweaking things. The show had a strong family-oriented theme throughout it.

I thought it was a watch. And I'm pretty sure it flew off Starr's wrist when she hugged Blair. I'll have to look again when I get home. I will definitely be ffing through the singing, unless Marcie is singing.

Yup it was a watch and yes it did fly off her wrist when she hugged Blair.
