You compromise our relationship when you lower yourself to this kind of behavior.” He asks if Dorian is understanding what he is getting at and she says not really. He talks about this feud between her and Viki that has been going on for years. “Why does our happiness take a backseat to your relationship with Viki?” Dorian denies it. Clint says, “You and Viki have been committed to each other for years. He says that he was a fool to think that Dorian and Viki could put the past behind them. Dorian says that this isn't her fault. Observations. I had deja vu of Dorian and Mel, with Mel on that laptop working at the desk in her bedroom. I have an exact scene in mind and Mel was smoking. In another scene, Clint talked about being on the verge of something significant in their relationship, which also reminded me of Dorian's time with Mel. Make no mistake, Clint is his own man and I see them distinctly. It's just that there was some familiarity. Unlike Mel, Clint did not attempt to brow beat Dorian or otherwise manipulate her. He made a firm suggestion and pointed out how her actions would impact their relationship, giving her the opportunity to make her own choice. He did not appear jealous in the least of Viki/David. Dorian is clearly jealous but she will think about it all. I loved that she said that he was the perfect man for her. I agree. I loved Dorian with Mel but I hated how pushy he was and how he treated Viki like a confidante when it came to Dorian's personal business. Clint doesn't do either of those things. He is private about their relationship and he is not likely to confide in Viki about Dorian. Dorian will realize what a treasure she has found in this man and she is not going to blow it over Viki and David (who shows how little he really cares for Dorian in wanting to deliberately hurt her; I guess the money meant more.) I like where this is headed and how it is going. We are finally getting to some mature dialogue between them about their relationship.

I thought of Mel working in the bedroom too. Fortunately, Clint isn't as messy. I thought it was very funny when Dorian glanced at the bed as she was talking about David's charms.
I had a thought at the end of the show: Why are people going to bed at the same time Starr still has an hour to showtime? And why aren't her Aunt, Great Aunt and cousins at the school to watch her performance?

Just poor continuity and story isolation. I wonder if filming out of order also hurts continuity somewhat. If we just look at the time problem - I don't think Viki was actually going to go to bed and sleep at this hour. Looked like she was just retiring to her bedroom for the night, to read or whatever. I think she said she was going to sleep to try and get rid of David.
Clint was sweet but firm with Dorian today. Some say he is trying to change her and tell her what to do, but C/D are equal partners in this relationship. Clint wants to know his feelings are respected and indicated he wouldn't do anything to reflect badly on her and would like the same consideration. He understands the issues Dorian has with Viki, he just hoped they could start moving beyond that.
Their dialogue today set up a future discussion (hopefully soon, Monday's show would be nice :)) about their relationship. What are they on the verge of, what they both want out of the relationship, what are their real priorities, what do they really mean to each other.
I think tomorrow's show will be all Dorian/David/Viki. It's obvious now that Dorian comes back home to find Clint gone (her cliffhanger). I can't figure how the confrontation will go down, but I'm hoping Dorian starts getting it on her own (before finding Clint gone), realizing that Clint is right about her relationship with Viki and that she's letting their [C/D] relationship suffer.

I think you're right. I wonder what will take place with Viki/David to make her realize it was a mistake for her to play into the manipulation. I wonder what is going to make her say, "ahha."

Since Clint made his choice of Dorian he has not wavered. I am very happy with Clint making a stand for what he wants and his standing firm with Dorian. Dorian will decide for herself that she is wrong in putting Viki and David ahead of her relationship with him.

Yeah, that's what I'm interested in too. Clint was looking out for her and didn't want her to over-react and make a fool of herself. It's only in Dorian's best interest to find some way to not fall for Viki & David's bait all the time.

ITA - this is Dorian's moment to decide what she really wants in her life, just as Clint did several months ago when he chose between Viki and Dorian. If she wants to move forward in her relationship with Clint, then she has to get over both Viki and David.
LovesTheDrama - June 29, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
My guess is that once Dorian realizes Clint didn't wait for her she will go looking for him. She'll probably first spending some time acting like he was wrong to leave, but then she'll figure out that she needs to find him and make amends. Wouldn't hurt if she said "you were right."
