Now there's a handsome groom. :D Of course I loved this wedding ;) partly because it was a celebration of the couple and a reward for the fans for sticking with them. Too often these days, weddings or other big events are plot points and back-drops.

I miss, Ross, Blake, Roger, Holly, Ed... it's sad how I don't recognize GL anymore.

While filming this wedding, Liz Keifer (Blake) was sick, running a fever, etc. It didn't help that her wedding dress was constrictive - she had to have help to use the bathroom, and could only sit on a tall stool. Jerry made her stay put and fetched things for her all day long.

I lucked up on finding the episode. I wish they had edited it more tightly but I am not going to really complain. I thought it was beautiful. And yes, that is a handsome groom. How sweet of Jerry to do that for Liz. What a nice guy. :D clint01.jpg You would never know that she was sick. She glowed. Speaking of weddings as backdrops, I did catch a clip of a Christmas wedding where it seemed the Bloss nuptials were incidental to other goings on. Too bad. And can I just say that Dorian has never had a grand wedding. replyicon2.jpg

Yeah, I obviously was more interested in Ross and Blake's ceremony, than what was going on with the rest of the characters, but I thought this was a great example of how a soap wedding could be an umbrella event, incorporating the stories of other characters but not taking away from the wedding.

Yeah, their 2nd wedding at Christmas 2003 was a back-drop, unfortunately. It was rushed, I think as a plot point in the story with Ross running for mayor against "reformed" mobster Danny Santos. Actually, Blake persuaded Ross to run for mayor and then they decided to get married within 1 or 2 episodes, and the wedding took place about 2 episodes later.

It was sort of a surprise that Bloss got their 2nd wedding at all, because they had finally agreed they were both ready to remarry and Blake proposed at Christmas 2002 (after several years of one being ready and the other not, back and forth). There had been no follow-through and it looked like tptb had forgotten them. They were back-burnered, they no longer had their own house set, and we never saw their 3 kids.

As it is, their 3 kids were not seen at the wedding, even though their wedding was sort of a sub-plot to a Christmas plot of the town's kids upset that Santa may not exist. We saw Ross and Blake on the phone with their children (while getting ready for their wedding) about their little daughter Clarissa in tears about Santa maybe not being real and her older brothers teasing her about it. The kids of the front-burner characters were at Bloss' 2nd wedding (to witness the real Santa), but their own 3 weren't. (Part of this Santa plot involved many of the men in these children's lives - fathers, uncles, friends, etc. - dressing up as Santa to get the kids to believe again, so Bloss had like 8 Santas at their wedding, way too cheesy IMO.)

It would be great if Clint gave Dorian the grand wedding she never had. I can't guess at what tptb might do, but there have been numerous wedding/marriage references to C/D since Clint returned to town. I actually started keeping a list (that's what happens when you get bored with the show one week ;)).
