I think I saw most of this show in passing, so I have to go back and watch it with my full attention, but I noticed something from discussion on other boards.

There were plenty of posters confused on the rules of Texas Hold'em, and how could Dorian have a royal flush (which includes an Ace), when Viki had four of a kind in Aces.

Viki obviously had 2 Aces in her hand, and the other 2 Aces were in the community cards. What I didn't notice was that Dorian's royal flush was in hearts, and she was holding the King and Queen of hearts (quite appropriate). The Ace, Jack, and 10 of hearts were in the community cards.

One of the explanations I saw said a King and Queen of hearts would also make a "marriage in pinnocle". Who knows if it's fore-shadowing, but I'm highly amused by this coincidence (or is it?). :D

I didn't like that the card game covered 2 1/2 shows, with scenes barely a minute long, but C/D continue to be cute together.

I'm really looking forward to Thursday's and Friday's shows.

I don't know if it's foreshadowing either, but I sure hearts1.gif to see it. I haven't forgotten that episode of OLTL that occurred around Christmas time where Viki told Dorian that she didn't deserve Clint and she would do everything in her power to make sure she didn't end up with him. She told Dorian she had a lot more in her arsenal than she did. Looks like Dorian's King and Queen of hearts1.gif trumped whatever was in her arsenal. Nora said it today. Viki doesn't want Clint; she just doesn't want Dorian with him.

Any king and queen in the same suit is a marriage in pinochle. The hearts1.gif just make it that much better (for C/D). I'm going to assume it's a hint of what's to come. I agree that the game went on too long and I hated it that both women threw their cards down on the river/flop. That would never happen in a real casino. Viki could have saved face by saying she planned to make a sizable contribution and was hoping to "force" Dorian into making one too. Instead she was just pissy.

Pinochle! laugh.gif Thanks for clarifying that Ginny. I was trying to figure out what "marriage in pinnocle" could be. I've never played pinochle, so I'm not familiar with the rules, but that term makes sense now (as a reference to another card game). :)

But I still love the symbolism of King and Queen of hearts, and marriage anything, for C/D. :D

I used to play all the time with my parents, but I had to look up the spelling today. FYI, any marriage is 2 points; a marriage in trump is 4. It's been a while, but i still remember the scoring.

I really enjoyed the card scenes. I am so glad that Dorian won. She is always losing to Vicki. Rock on Diva!
