Title: He has a list!
Description: Sept 11

They were adorable today. :D

My shallow comment for the day - I love him in jeans. wink.gif

They are so cute and supportive of each other. Clint warned Dorian against meddling, but admired Dorian for caring about Langston's welfare. And it was funny when she turned the tables on him about Jessica, though she acknowledged if he was concerned about his daughter he should do something about it.

I love how she pointed out his dimples when they were grinning and laughing. I think it's obvious that Jerry and Robin have fun working together.

They're getting closer to saying I love you. He admires her mother lion quality and her devotion to those she cares about. And he has a list of other things he loves about her.

The story is setting up for Dorian to be the one to take Langston in when the truth about her comes out, but Clint seems to be really supporting this story too, so I wonder if he'll eventually play a bigger part. Someone speculated on another board that Clint and Lindsay were Langston's biological parents - I'm not clear on the timeline, but the show does seem to keep reminding us that Lindsay is one of Clint's ex-wives, and there have been a lot of mentions about her late daughter, Jen. Something to think about it, but much too soon to tell.

Oh, and I'm interested to hear what Langston's new wishes for the coming year are.

snoop.gif dncla.jpg First thanks so much for the post, Emily. I was working late tonight and decided to check the board. I was so happy to see that Dorian and Clint were on today. It's been a long time since we've had them in quality scenes together, you know more than a few seconds here and there. The soap gods must know when I'm despondent about my favorite couple because I am gifted with their presence and a reminder of why I love them together. I am making a clip of today's show so that we can watch when we go through another drought. :D

No argument from me. I hearts1.gif seeing clint.gig in jeans. They dress him in suits so much but really, a cowboy should be wearing jeans more often. :P c3.gif

They were playful with each other and that is something I have missed of late. Remember how they used to be that way with each other in the beginning? I am glad they are capturing that again.

I agree and it makes it enjoyable as a viewer when they are playful with each other and seeming to have a good time as performers.

I think so too. I just hope it's not another month before they share scenes like this. Part of my frustation as a viewer has been the constant stops and gos with no real story for these deserving actors. Today was a joy to watch.

Wow that's interesting. Lindsay/Clint? Hmm. Not that soaps do things in a timely manner but she would have to be Starr's age and Lindsay and Clint got together awhile after Starr was born. I did get the idea that Clint would support Dorian in her efforts to help out Langston. What I have liked about Clint is that he knows how to tell Dorian the truth without browbeating her or insulting her nature. That's rare. Believe me!

Me too! Something to look forward to for this fan! YAY!

Dorian and Clint were adorable today. And I was thinking the same thought about the jeans. Dang, I wanted to hear that list, but so happy that they are getting alone time.

Have you heard what the story about Langston's parents will be?

rumors.gif Supposedly they are dead. Langston is taking care of herself and soon social services are alerted.

LovesTheDrama - September 12, 2007 03:11 AM (GMT)
I know this is a soap, but supposedly Langston is from a wealthy family and wealthy families have household help. Wouldn't the housekeeper have notified someone if Langston's parents were dead? Oh well, I'll just wait and see how it turns out. I would love for Dorian to be her surrogate aunt. There aren't a lot of people in Llanview who admire Dorian and think she is cool.

I thought Dorian and Clint's scenes were lots of fun - especially the way she shut the door on him and he knocked on it.

cher62 - September 12, 2007 03:16 AM (GMT)
Gin where did you hear that Langston was from a wealthy family? I totally missed that. In any case who knows where she is living or if there is a housekeeper to speak of? She could be living on the streets, from place to place, etc.

LovesTheDrama - September 12, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
I assumed the family is wealthy because of the way Langston acts, dresses, has credit cards, etc. I was surprised yesterday when she said she had taken the bus and Starr didn't question it. If getting to Dorian's house was a problem, wouldn't Starr send the car for Langston?

I thought the exchange between Dorian and Starr in answering the door was funny. Starr was obviously waiting on Langston, but it looked like Dorian was maybe hoping it was Clint.

Especially since the actors keep reporting that they have no official rehearsals now. They probably run lines together, but if the actual filming is when they put it all together for the first time, some of their reactions have to be genuine. It does look like they're having a good time.

I loved how he was trying to find a way to tell Dorian his opinion without offending her. But she knew he wasn't trying to be insulting or superior, he was warning her because he cared. Just as he knew she was teasing him about "interfering" in Jessica's life.

It's sweet that he's seeing Dorian's qualities as good, when many obviously see them as bad - her meddling as devotion and caring and willing to do anything for those she cares about. And he's right that she gets into trouble when she goes over that fine line.

About Langston's past - I don't think much has been said about her past, making it easier for tptb to tweak whatever may have already been said about her family. I also missed any reference that Langston may be from a wealthy family, though I haven't paid too much attention to the teens. Does Langston have a credit card? I thought Langston acted and dressed like a normal teen.

The showfax audition script spoiled that Britney discovered that Langston's parents had died and she was living without a guardian and so she tipped off Social Services. With this story coming into play, we've been seeing references to Langston possibly being neglected for a few months now, though it is strange that only Dorian has questioned why Langston's parents are so lax and inattentive with her.

It's rumor that Langston may end up being related to already established characters. And, people are speculating that Dorian may adopt her, but that's not known for sure, although I think Dorian will at least take Langston in and want to be her guardian.

LovesTheDrama - September 12, 2007 07:26 PM (GMT)
Do you know when that audition script came out/or when the scenes will be played? It does seem that they are building toward Dorian taking her in. Starr probably thinks Langston's lack of parental supervision is good; Blair is too tied up in her own stuff to notice what's going on with Langston. I'm glad that it's Dorian who is aware that Langston seems to be unsupervised a lot of the time. When Starr and Cole were running away many months ago, it was Langston who went to the ATM and got several hundred dollars for them. Again, I assumed it was because she came from a wealthy family and thus had access.

I think you're right - some things do look spontaneous.

Here's what Emily writes (in Clint/Dorian history) happened last year on Sept. 11:
QUOTE
11 Sep 2006 - Clint is surprised to find Dorian arrested and becomes very angry when he learns why, he breaks up with her

Sigh. What a difference a year makes. Also did Clint seem a little tipsy?

Do you mean on the 9/11 show this year? IMO he was more relaxed and happy than he's been in a long time, having a fun time with the woman he's falling in love with. He was steadily drinking, but not large amounts and I didn't think he'd had enough to make him tipsy.

I did get a chuckle out of how attentive Dorian was in refilling his glass. Now that they're seeing each other, I wonder how much bourbon she buys.

cher62 - September 14, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
Ah happiness! :o See now, I don't see enough of it and well, I forgot what it looks like to see him smile so easily. He was very relaxed.

That and beer and pretzels. ;)

Oh I meant to add that I agree with you that she was running to the door like she was definitely expecting him.

ees43 - September 14, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
laugh.gif Yep, happiness. :) He's got both an easy smile and an easy laugh (which I think was both Clint reacting to Dorian and Jerry reacting to Robin). It was nice to see him so relaxed. He didn't even really get tense in warning Dorian away from meddling and interfering.

I have to :) that Dorian tries to make Clint as comfortable as possible, with his usual bourbon, pretzels, beer, etc. And I wouldn't mind seeing Clint get tipsy with Dorian - who knows where it would lead? ;)

For all the years that I've watched the show, Dorian has always doted on her lovers. She loves to buy things for them and make sure they are as comfortable as possible. Clint seems happiest with her than in the presence of anyone else.
