What's your frequency? Is anybody listening? Can anyone hear me? Something got lost in the translation because I could have sworn the message was there would be a romance flourishing for forum.1111.gif . While I have no doubt the couple may have been someplace having a romantic time of it, I didn't get to see it. Instead Dorian and Clint were not in scenes together last week and even further there was no Clint! Nearly a year and half ago, viewers saw the bar scenes at the Palace that got many fans on this board interested in kiss5.jpg . Since the 52607.gif reunion in the Spring, there has been some movement but the romance now seems to have hit a brick wall again after clint.gig told doragain.gif that he was falling in love with her in July. For sure, it has been frustrating following this affair for even the most committed of fans because there will be a sudden spurt that hints at forward movement before things become static like a radio to nowhere.
Asa's DeathA month ago, Asa Buchanan died. I realize that time has almost stood still on the show with a week at most having gone by in Llanview since this sad occurrence. Nonetheless, it has barely been shown how Asa's family is affected by such a tremendous loss. We have seen Bo and Matthew discuss going to the ranch in Texas and talk about Asa and there has been a throw away scene here and there with Clint and Sarah or Clint and Natalie, but still I wanted more in Asa's memory. I am disappointed after the excellently crafted shows surrounding the 10,000th episode of OLTL. The show is dominated by the Tommy storyline, which isn't a bad soap storyline. I even anticipate eventually this story will involve many on the canvas in umbrella fashion. But, I am getting bored with little attention paid to anything else. And I am annoyed as a viewer not to see more follow up to the death of a longtime patriarch played by Phil Carey. I am a huge proponent of umbrella stories and felt strongly that Head Writer Ron Carlivati needed to start with at least one well-written story. My gripe is that the loss of such a major character has not been given the proper follow up in attention.
Diva FashionI love my dorian4.jpg There is little doubt of that. However, I am going to have to drop to my knees here and say, "Please, please, please, don't EVER let me see Dorian in those hair extensions again. OK?" I felt the same way years back when Robin sported the long-haired wig as Dorian when the show had David sniffing around Kelly. It came out of nowhere and I associated it with the show's movement of Dorian's guy toward a younger woman. But that's just my twisted way of over-thinking. I'm sure it was just Dorian being zany and eccentric as always.
I did, however, enjoy seeing the Cramer Women gathered at Rodi's. I was pleased to see Blair finally catch on that her cousin's bad opinion of Todd and feeling that she was right to keep him from Tommy was more important than her family loyalty. There is more to come with this story since the full truth has not been disclosed to the Mannings.
It was only a matter of time before news leaked that Rex and Adriana were secretly supporting Marcie and Michael McBain in the battle for Todd's son, Tommy. Blair attacks Rex. Later, Blair and Adriana come to near blows over the issue as Dorian tries to maintian the peace and calls a meeting of the Cramer Women. The song, "Family Affair" is by Mary J. Blige.

Family Affair--Broadband
Family Affair--Dial Up Oh, AdrianaSpeaking of which, could it be that doom and gloom is on the horizon with Dorian's warning to Adriana and Rex that they better keep it a secret as to how long they've known that Tommy was Todd's child so as to avoid the consequences? There have been rumors afloat for some time that Melissa Gallo (Adriana Cramer) would be leaving the show when her contract expires in January. (Link:

And finallyThe show is not going to please me every week and in every scene. There are viewers who are absolutely riveted by what's happening with Tommy. But I can't imagine that I'm the only one who wonders why there isn't more on the Buke family in the aftermath of Asa's death. And yes, can my favorite couple get a few scenes with each other? Just putting these thoughts out into the universe on a radio to nowhere.
