Title: Clint Sighting
LovesTheDrama - September 24, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
Clint will be on tomorrow's show. The preview showed Clint and Dorian sitting on a sofa. I thought they were at her house, but now I'm thinking they are at his house. He's in a dark demin shirt--looking relaxed. The only dialogue is Dorian talking about Nora and Lindsey.

Yay! Clint will be on! :D 2 weeks to the day since his last appearance.
I think they're at the mansion, and Nora comes home from court. That's the easiest way for her to run into them, which wouldn't happen if they were at Dorian's.
From how relaxed and half-dressed Clint looked (several buttons were undone), I wouldn't be surprised if Nora walks in on them making out on the sofa.
I wonder if this was the "C/D's romance flourishes" and the spoiler was posted for the wrong week. Hopefully they get a few scenes alone to make some progress in their relationship before Nora comes in.

YAY! Snoopy dance at seeing Clint! snoop.gif I am glad they are at the Buke mansion for a change. I don't think I'll like the topic of conversation and I hope that we get some time with them alone before they get into the nonsense of Lindsay somehow being a martyr. I don't agree that Nora should be the prosecutor trying the case but it's hardly her fault that Lindsay killed a man and had a breakdown because of her actions. Anyway, I have missed Clint and was glad to see him, especially with my favorite diva. dvc2.jpg

ITA - in real-life Nora wouldn't be allowed near Lindsay's case, but this is a soap and there would be no drama or angst with a nameless Assistant D.A. stranger instead of Nora. That's the type of suspension of disbelief that's okay on soaps IMO. What's harder to believe is how time and space were twisted to make it possible for Lindsay to murder Spencer, when she was dining with Dorian.
However, it's more unrealistic to me that most everyone is treating Nora like a monster for prosecuting Lindsay for a crime Lindsay confessed to. Lindsay allowed herself to be arrested without a fuss, and she's taking full blame on herself, and yet somehow it's Nora forcing Lindsay to do this or twisting the facts, or some such nonsense. I get why characters like Marcie and Dorian are on Lindsay's side and against Nora, but it's crazy for the other characters who like Lindsay and Nora equally to be dumping on Nora. What I didn't like most is that Matthew can't see that his mother is doing her job, but he'll listen to Bo and understand it from him. I know Matthew's history with Lindsay, but Nora is his mother, and he's old enough to understand how complicated the situation is.

I get the suspension of belief deal, partly. But there is a way to go about making it possible for Nora to try the case without it being so insulting. I can't see Nora as being right on any point as it pertains to the case really because she shouldn't have assigned herself the case. If she had been working with a colleague, who was removed for some reason, illness, whatever and she was most familiar with the case and took over, then I would "suspend belief." I have issue with her taking the case right off the bat. It is a basis for asking for the case to be dismissed. Lindsay has confessed but I don't think it's OK for Nora to jump at the chance to take the case. It is also why I can see some people siding with Lindsay with claims Nora has a vendetta against her. It's not likely I'll have sympathy for Nora because of it either. Lindsay is Dorian's friend but Lindsay is not innocent. She is guilty. Dorian is being faithful to Lindsay so I get it but I'm tired of hearing it already. The show is bending over backwards to show Lindsay in a sympathetic manner. It is having the opposite affect on me. I am fast forwarding it because it is overkill. I do agree with you when it comes to Matthew.

I agree with both of you. I realized today that if I cared about Lindsay more I might have been moved by her performance in the courtroom. But most of the time I was thinking - just get it over with. I don't care who killed Truman and I don't really care what happens to Lindsay because of what she did. Marcie saying "dont worry, it will be OK," as Will carried Lindsay off to St. Anne's annoyed me. (But I did like that Will carried Lindsay.) How does Marcie know everything will be OK? Honestly, if I was Marcie and there was a possbility that my child could be taken from me, I'd be sitting at home with Tommy on my lap just looking at him, hugging him, loving him. Not sitting in a courtroom for someone else's case.

Emily, I think we were suppose to forget Dorian and Lindsay were at the Palace that night. I mean a few months ago, Dorian was arrested and it was never mentioned.
LovesTheDrama - September 25, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
Have you looked at old clips to see if Lindsay is wearing the same dress? I don't think we are supposed to remember that she was with Dorian. What has me more curious is why such a non-medical looking pair of scissors was used.
cher62 - September 25, 2007 03:49 AM (GMT)
I'm checking it out now. Maybe not but she is wearing a black jacket so it's difficult to tell. You can find it here:
Dorian and Lindsay Plot. The scissors were noticeable for me too.
LovesTheDrama - September 25, 2007 01:05 PM (GMT)
It looks like whatever was under her jacket was black - at least at the edges. The dress in the flashback was black and white and I can't remember it exactly. Doesn't really matter - she didn't have time to be at the hospital killing Truman since she was with Dorian, so she might as well have gone home to change while she was sitting with Dorian.
What I could see is how much better Catherine Hickland looked in those scenes. Her skin tone was normal compared to the too-tanned look she's had in jail.
LovesTheDrama - September 25, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately, we got about 2 seconds of Dorian/Clint alone time before Nora walked in.
LovesTheDrama - September 25, 2007 10:47 PM (GMT)
I was so disappointed. Almost no alone time, and then Clint was basically a prop for Dorian and Nora. Also, there was no mention of why Dorian wasn't at Lindsay's arraignment. Any chance Dorian and Clint are on tomorrow?
ees43 - September 25, 2007 11:09 PM (GMT)
Lately Clint has been a prop, and rarely used at that, which I do not like.
Dorian was in the previews for tomorrow, talking with Todd and Blair about their arranged marriage. They were at Dorian's, and she was in a different outfit. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the previews to determine if it was the same night or a new day.
I don't know if Clint is also on tomorrow, but he will be on Thursday, when he convinces Nora to stay at the mansion. And then he's on with Dorian on Friday for T&B's wedding.

Oh I just saw the show and no I don't like it either. We have been waiting for two weeks to see Clint and this is what we get?! pow1.gif Clint is a core character on the show. His father has died. Dorian and Nora are in his home and we get to hear argument no. 999 about how Nora is unfair in prosecuting Lindsay. I am SO not amused. Clint barely spoke and what Dorian had to say I wasn't interested in hearing. The only thing that interested me on today's show was Langston. Thus far I am very disappointed in how Ron Carlivati has chosen NOT to write for Clint.
On the plus side, I did like seeing them relaxed, laughing and enjoying each other's company on Clint's turf. They seemed really comfortable together.
cher62 - September 26, 2007 02:23 AM (GMT)
Here's what I would like VERY MUCH. I would like to see Dorian/Clint and Bo/Nora in the Buchanan mansion. I want it to have the feel of a Buchanan dynasty. Dorian and Nora are two of my favorite female characters to have in scenes together. They are very strong women and I think it strengthens both characters when they are in scenes together. Bo and Clint need to be together more often as well. They are brothers and I want there to be things in Asa's will that will cause tension between them. Just something that I would like to see.
LovesTheDrama - September 27, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT)
I loved Clint today. First we find out that the reason Clint wants Nora to stay at the mansion is because Asa wanted her and Matthew to stay at the mansion. Then Nora tries to taunt Dorian with a "Clint wants me to live with him," and Clint quickly gets up, walks to Dorian and tells her that is was Asa's wish. I loved the "never no mind" look Dorian gave Nora before she focused in on Clint and told him to get his tux.
The wedding should be fun. I read that Todd backs out at the last minute. Is that still happening?
ees43 - September 28, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT)
I also loved that Clint was trying to fulfill one of his late father's last wishes. Though I also think tptb are trying to bulk up the Buchanan group living at the mansion - without Matthew and Nora, it would just be Renee, Nigel, and Clint alone in that big house.
Clint and Nora continue to have a nice, friendly vibe that isn't romantic (and I'm not saying that because I like C/D ). Clint sees Nora as both friend and family and wants her and Matthew to know they're always welcome in Asa's house. Clint obviously loves Dorian, but it's also nice to see him with friends.
While I liked seeing Dorian come to ask Clint to the wedding in person, the scene seemed incomplete or abrupt. Dorian's tone sounded like she was going to say something else, but then the scene ended. They may pick up at that point in Friday's show, as I think T&B are still getting ready for the wedding.

The showfax script suggested that Todd stopped the wedding, but more recent spoilers and previews indicate that they finish the ceremony and those attending applaud them for it.

Clint loves Dorian and Nora loves Bo. Given that, I'm still not sure what TPTB have in mind with Clint and Nora but I would like to see Bo and Dorian come to terms with their feelings for these two. (Seeing the white chairs and flowers reminded me of how similiar it was to the chairs, etc., used in Dorian's wedding ceremony with David. replyicon2.jpg ) And the interplay between Clint and Nora may bring Dorian and Bo's feelings to the forefront as Dorian and Bo react to what they think they are seeing. As I mentioned earlier, I would like to see all four of them under the same roof. The dynamics with these actors would be extremely entertaining. Any combination works and throw in Nigel and even Renee and now we're talking. It's also fresh and new. I liked Clint's reaction to Nora's dig at Dorian with her "Clint wants me to live with him." He was clear about it being his desire to abide by his father's wishes. The wedding is tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing Clint and Dorian there. We haven't seen Clint interact much with the Cramers. I did smile at Starr's comment that she thought maybe Dorian was getting married to Clint. dncll.jpg The wedding should be fun!

I liked that too. Starr made it sound like it was a logical and expected at some point.
