Title: I Never Cared For You

"I Never Cared For You" is one of my favorite songs by Willie Nelson. I enjoy the Spanish tempo but it's also the twist of cynicism that makes it's way into the lyrics. The singer says the opposite of what he feels. If one takes him too literally, then the point of the song is lost. Sometimes when I watch the show, the scenes are filled with such contradiction that it seems as if two stories are playing at the same time. Clint and Dorian seem to be going on with their lives with other people while not letting go of the love they feel for one another. I suppose as I stop to think about it, it is possible for both to be at play; often times, it seems a paradox. Recently, Dorian suggested to David that they get back together. David was resistant to the notion because Dorian seemed to be using him like she did in Texas to get over the hurt of losing Clint. David's further retort was that she deserved someone better than him [David]. He said they might work better as friends. Dorian added that she wanted to be friends with benefits. They kissed on it. But you know, throughout the conversation, Dorian insulted Clint as if to turn love to hatred and justification for moving on. It didn't seem to fool David. At one point she said that she wouldn't take Clint back if he came to her on bended knee and begged. It was difficult to tell if she really meant it; it was overblown and heavy handed, so I think not. There still seems to be a look of heart ache that gives away her true intention. David reminded Dorian that Clint found them in bed together, which is something Dorian seems reluctant to absorb in terms of it leading to their break up.

Later in the week in conversation with Viki, Dorian came up with twisted logic that Clint won't hear her out in apology about the tryst because Viki betrayed him with Sloan Carpenter. I love Dorian, but why should any man be understanding when finding the woman he loves in bed with another man? And I still am perplexed why Clint is dismissive of or minimizes his part in their undoing; he doesn't feel he owes Dorian further explanation for that passionate kiss with Nora beyond saying it was a mistake.

Clint and Dorian both seem to be missing each other and using others to get through their break up. In Clint's case, it's an always available housemate Nora and in Dorian's case it is a no longer on the canvas David. I still struggle to know when to take Dorian and Clint literally in what they are saying against each other. They are both filled with such anger, hurt and pride. I will be daring and add love. Clint still hasn't gotten rid of Dorian's number from his cell phone even though he acts annoyed when she calls and Dorian still has a picture of them that she stares at from happier days at the Palace. They may eventually come to an end emotionally but at least I am seeing it realized that despite the anger, they genuinely cared for each other--no matter what the song says.

Jared as a Buchanan

Gosh! There isn't much to write about here. I just want to know how long will this go on? I do not like this storyline. Will this last until Tuc Watkins gets time off from Desperate Housewives so that he is in Llanview for the reveal? That could be MONTHS from now! I can't believe Clint, Bo and Renee would prefer to be lied to rather than know the identity of Asa's son. All three of them are straight shooters. Also, Nigel is much too loyal to the family to betray them in this fashion. It doesn't ring true.

The Cramer Women

So when is Adriana going and when will Addie grace my screen? I love the actress, Pamela Payton Wright, who plays Dorian's sister, Addie. It will be interesting to see what happens when she visits during the holidays with medication that seems to have cleared her frame of mind and made her more "normal."
