ONE LIFE TO LIVE
FRIDAY, MAY 30, 2008
OLTL -- Word is that ANDREA EVANS has been persuaded to return as Tina Lord and will arrive some time during MAY sweeps. Tina's return will be tied to a surprising character, and will make sense for long-term fans. Tina is the half-sister of Viki and Todd, which makes Tina related to most of the town -- either by blood or by marriage. Tina also has a daughter who is already in town - Sarah. And Tina's ex-husband, David Vickers, is about to return. For those who are unaware of the story, David Vickers arrived in Llanview, claiming to be the missing son of Victor Lord - but fell in love with Tina, even though Tina believed that David was her brother. After a night of passion at the cabin of Tina's sister, Viki, David confessed to Tina that he was a fraud and was NOT really the son of Victor Lord. Tina and David decided to keep the truth under wraps, in the hope that David would be able to grab the millions of dollars which Victor Lord had left for his missing son. Tina and David were later secretly in Las Vegas. It was eventually revealed that Todd Manning was REALLY Victor Lord's missing son. TUC WATKINS is prepared to put in another appearance as David. MELISSA FUMERO is scheduled to tape her last episode as Adrianna on May 1. Most recently, there have been whispering that Rex and Adriana will marry on MAY 13! JANUARY LAVOY and JOHN RUE will pop up as Bon-Jour's Moelle and Moe some time during May. Word is that ONE LIE TO LIVE has managed to lure back a major former player, who will arrive in town for a limited run. ALSO - there will be a SHOCKING EXIT during May sweeps which will involve a leading man or woman.

From Soap Opera Network

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- "One Life to Live" is bringing back yet another familiar face.
On the heels of the news that Tuc Watkins, Andrea Evans, Thom Christopher, and Susan Haskell will all be reprising their "One Life to Live" roles this spring and summer, comes news that the sudser is bringing back still another fan favorite. Soapnet.com is confirming that Christopher Cousins is reprising his role as conman Cain Rogan.

Cousins portrayed the infamous con artist Cain Rogan, who always employed the use of clever diguises to pull off his heists, from 1991-1994. While searching for information he could use against the powerful Asa Buchanan, Cain crossed paths with Tina Clayton Lord, whom he ended up taking the plunge into holy matrimony. Not long thereafter, the marriage fell apart and Cain and Tina got divorced.

While "OLTL" is keeping mum on the details, it has been said that his return will be tied to Andrea Evans' return next month as Tina. Look for Cousins to first air in early July

From: Soap Opera Network
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- Llanview's corrupt police commissioner will soon be without a job.
The casting shake-ups continue at "One Life to Live," with Soap Opera Weekly reporting that Hunt Block, who joined the cast in the short-term role of rogue FBI agent turned Police Commissioner Lee Ramsey last October, has been handed his walking papers.

Prior to his stint on "OLTL," Block became the second actor to Craig Montgomery on "As the World Turns" from 2000-2005. Additionally, Block portrayed Ben Warren on "Guiding Light" from 1997-1999, and Guy Donahue on "All My Children" in 2000. He has also appeared on stage in films such as As You Like It, Forever After and A Loss Of Memory.

In a recent interview with SOW, Block stated that "I met a lot of nice people on the show," and that "I wish them luck." While "OLTL" is keeping mum on the specifics of his exit, the character is not expected to leave Llanview quietly. Although no final airdate has been announced, look for Block to last air as Lee Ramsey sometime in June or July.

In other news...

Christine Jones makes yet another appearance as Pamela Stuart (Asa Buchanan's ex-wife #5), beginning June 3rd when Dorian orders her to be in attendance at a Buchanan Enterprises board meeting to help back up her claims concerning Jared Banks. This marks Jones' third stint on the show since January. Besides originating the role of Pamela Stuart in the mid-1980's, Jones also portrayed Victoria Lord during Erika Slezak's maternity leave in 1981.

Forbes March last airs in early June, as his character Nash Brennan meets a bloody demise.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
TUESDAY, JULY 22, 2008
OLTL -- The show begins to celebrate its 40th anniversary on July 21. Back in the 80's, Viki was knocked unconscious and ended up on a spaceship bound for heaven. While there, Viki had conversations with many of the 'dearly departed.' This time, Viki will end up on an elevator moving up in a high rise apartment building. Once Viki makes it to heaven, she will meet former husband Ben Davidson -- and Dorian's former husband, Mel Hayes. ALSO ON BOARD will be ERIN TORPEY. TORPEY originated the role of Jessica Buchanan but left the show to pursue other interests. TORPEY will appear as Viki's granddaughter, Megan - the baby of Jessica and William Rappaport. Baby Megan died shortly after she was born. JESSICA TUCK had originally been tapped to appear as Viki's daughter, Megan, who passed away following a bout with Lupus. However, TUCK was side-tracked by other commitments and bowed out at the last moment. AGNES NIXON -who created One Life to Live - will also put in an appearance. ANDREA EVANS will be used to help re-create the famous scene where Tina survived a plunge over a waterfall in Argentina. THOM CHRISTOPHER - as Carlo Hesser - will force Tina to watch in horror was Carlo sends Tina's daughter, Sarah, over a waterfall. Fan favorite JOHN LOPRIENO will return as Tina's ex-husband, Cord. Also being revisited will be a popular time-traveling story. Back in the 80's, Clint (then played by CLINTm RICHIE), was knocked on the head and ended up back in the Wild West - where he met an ancestor of Viki's - but did NOT marry her! This time around, Bo and Rex will be hit by lightning and will wake up in 1968 - the same year that One Life to Live went on the air. This time around, Bo will stand in as Asa - and Rex will be 'young Bo.' The time traveling story will last for several weeks. IF Rex and Bo can NOT find their way back to the future in time - Rex (as Young Bo) will be drafted and sent to Vietnam! Spencer Truman will be played as an underhanded little kid by AUSTIN WILLIAMS (who currently appears as Shane). David will NOT be born at that time - so the story will be about maybe preventing David's birth. ALSO reportedly making appearances will be PHIL CAREY (Asa), MARK DERWIN (Ben Davidson), and STEPHEN MARKLE (Dorian's deceased husband, journalist Mel Hayes).

OLTL's Andrea Evans Is Out
After a six-month stint as Tina, Andrea Evans finished taping at ONE LIFE TO LIVE last week. "There was always an understanding that it would be short term," Evans tells Digest. "I didn't know how this was going to affect my own personal life with having to do so much traveling, and I'm in a situation where I can't relocate." Meanwhile, the show released the following statement to dispel any rumors: "ABC and ONE LIFE TO LIVE were thrilled to have Andrea Evans reprise the role of Tina Lord after 18 years. Her return was made possible with the understanding that it would be short term as Ms. Evans' life, family and home are on the west coast. OLTL did not ask that she move across the country in order for her to return to the show." However, both Evans and Executive Producer Frank Valentini say the door is open for Evans to reprise the role. "The character of Tina is a very important part of the OLTL canvas and when there is an opportunity to have her (Tina and Andrea) return at a future date, the show would be happy to explore it." Look for an exclusive exit interview with Evans in the November 25 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

One Life To Live, A/ABC — Martinez, Watkins and Carey back!
• Oh, happy day: Emmy winner A Martinez (ex-Cruz, Santa Barbara) is back at OLTL taping this week as Ray Montez, report sources. More next week.

• In late December, Tuc Watkins will return to Llanview as the real David Vickers, my imaginary sex slave. Head writer Ron Carlivati tells Soap Opera Digest David will more than likely learn he’s a Buchanan.

Also, Carolyn Hinsey is reporting at the New York Daily News that Phil Carey “will make one more pivotal appearance as Asa.”

• Spin is the new truth: In this week’s Soap Opera Digest, Andrea Evans (Tina) denies that ABC was paying for her flights back and forth from L.A. to N.Y. and accommodations. However, ABC insiders attest that her expenses “were worked into her contract and salary. No one in this business, even in the soap world, would expect an actor fly to work on his or her own dime. That’s ridiculous.” Regardless, Evans confirms that her departure from the show was merely because her short-term contract merely came to an end. Look for an interview with my favourite star next week.

In other Evans news: the soap vet joined 9,000 men, women and children on this past Sunday morning’s Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer at the City of Hope campus in Duarte. As Hope celebrity ambassador, Evans told the crowd: “I walk not just because I am the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, I walk because I don’t want [my daughter] to worry about this.”

• Mark Dec. 1 on your calendars: character actors January LaVoy and John Rue reprise the roles of Noelle and Moe, respectively for “a special appearance.”

IS Kamar OUT?

OLTL will look a lot different if Antonio exits, but the beloved character's portrayer says the change may be something that is much needed - both for himself and for the show! "I realized that after 10 years of being on OLTL, Antonio is no longer the central figure that I believe he deserves to be," the actor exclusively tells SID. "I realize that that is not intentional on the show's part, but over the years, he has become less and less valued. I believe that there is a cut-off point for characters...and I think it may be time to say goodbye."
Though the actor is still in negotiations with the show, if he chooses to leave, he anticipates that he will finish taping Monday, January 5, and will appear on screen through the end of that month. "We haven't talked about what plans they have for Antonio and how they would want to see him go if I decide to leave," he says, adding that there's a possibility he could stick around longer if Antonio's story improves. "I consider my colleagues to be family, and I am forever grateful to the powers that be for the opportunity to be part of the best show in daytime. However, it may be time for me to say, 'C'est la vie.'"
